Long Bio
Selma Krantz is a PhD student in the Biology (Biology & Society) program at ASU, where she is advised by Dr. Ben Hurlbut. She currently serves as a research assistant for the Embryo Project Editing Seminar, which helps to produce the Embryo Project Encyclopedia.
Prior to beginning her PhD, Selma graduated summa cum laude from the College of Health Solutions and Barrett, the Honors College at ASU, receiving her B.S. in Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Legislation and Regulation. Her honors thesis, "A Legal, Medical and Ethical Analysis of Assisted Dying Policies," synthesized and analyzed the issue of assisted dying from ethical, medical and legal standpoints on a national and global scale by applying ethical tenets and care provider perspectives to controversial real-life cases and legislative rulings.
