Long Bio
Phillip Levin is a theoretical physicist, cosmologist, philosopher, theologian, and author.
Phillip is a doctoral student in the Department of Physics and a graduate student in the School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies at Arizona State University, earning his Ph.D. in physics and M.A. in philosophy.
Phillip’s physics research interests include theoretical cosmology, black holes, dark matter, dark energy, and quantum gravity. Recently, he and his co-authors proposed how nonsingular black holes can solve the problem of dark matter; he authored a popular science article on the idea, which was published by The Institute of Art and Ideas.
His philosophy and theology interests include the relationship between science and religion; the theology of science and physics; and the history of religious and theological beliefs of theoretical physicists.
In addition to his research, he writes fiction. He is the author of The Best View Money Can Buy, a collection of speculative and philosophical fiction stories about the future, humanity, science, technology, and religion.
