Ian Anderson

Ian Anderson is a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University and a Manager of Enterprise Security at an electric utility in the southwest. Ian has 15 years of experience across several sectors including energy, financial, manufacturing, and municipal government in various technology and security related roles. In his current role, Ian focuses on cyber and physical security operations, risk management, and technology monitoring in both Information Technology and Operational Technology environments.

Ian's academic focus is on the intersection of public policy, critical infrastructure, and cybersecurity with particular interest in the role of regulations and their impact to cybersecurity programs in critical infrastructure sectors. Ian has a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Oklahoma. Professionally, Ian carries several cybersecurity related certifications. Ian is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. In his spare time Ian enjoys spending time with his family, breaking home gadgets, and playing on flight simulators.
