Vidya A. Chhabria is an incoming (January 2023) assistant professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University. Presently, she is a final year Ph.D. student at the University of Minnesota and works part-time as a consultant at Steel Perlot. She received her B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University, India) in 2016 and her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2018. She spent her graduate research internships at Qualcomm in 2017 and NVIDIA Research (ASIC VLSI Research Group) in 2020 and 2021.
Her research interests lie in computer-aided design (CAD) for VLSI systems and primarily revolve around physical design, optimization, and analysis algorithms. She has received ICCAD Best Paper Award (2021), Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (2021), Louise T. Dosdall Fellowship (2020), and Cadence Women in Technology scholarship (2020).
