Long Bio
I am a Black queer feminist who studies knowledge production, the archives and Black queer health. As a Black Geographer, I research how Black queer communities are written out of histories of gender and sexuality, health discourses, and places. I work to bring Black queer hidden or missing experiences into mainstream conversations.
I am currently working on uncovering the missing geographies of Black queer communities response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic while also trying to chart the absence of Black sexuality in public health interventions.
