Mary is an alumnus of Arizona State University. She worked in the auto insurance industry for over a decade, honing her skills in conflict negotiation, policy interpretation, process improvement, coaching and development and leadership. She managed teams of auto claims adjusters wherein she developed new employee training and onboarding processes for the Arizona Claims division. She was asked to join the national training department for Progressive Auto Insurance in 2013 and played a large role in the creation and facilitation of training on a variety of topics, including diversity and inclusion, claims indemnification, and professional development. She successfully consulted on the transition of the Progressive Auto Insurance training program from in-person to online and achieved a Masters in Educational Technology in 2017 from Northern Arizona University before joining ASU as a staff member in 2018. Mary is now an instructional design specialist for ASU Online, working with faculty across multiple programs to create and improve courses within the ASU Online catalog and provide professional development to faculty across the spectrum of experience. She consults with the following ASU Online programs: African American Studies, Asian Pacific American Studies, Justice Studies, Global Studies, the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, Technological Entrepreneurship Management, Operations Management, Graphical Information Technology, Computer Software Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, General Engineering, and Physics.
