Mary is an alumnus of Arizona State University and joined EdPlus as an instructional design specialist in 2018, supporting a variety of departments across the ASU Online programs. Her deeply rooted passion for fulfilling the Charter of ASU has led her to find niches of connections across the University, tying diverse and mission-driven groups of influencers together to collaborate and create solutions to various opportunities centered on access and inclusion. Her past and current projects have included the inclusion and elevation of services in the Student Access and Inclusive Learning Services (SAILS), the ASU Libraries, Enterprise Technology, Learning Enterprise, and EdPlus initiatives. In her role at ASU, Mary is a catalyst for unity and innovation.
Mary hosts quarterly university-wide instructional design community meetings, providing a platform for the celebration and collaboration of design projects across all programs and enterprises at ASU. Her goal is to bring people together and spotlight their collective efforts in enriching the learning landscape at the university. Additionally, Mary is an active member of the Instructional Technology Awareness Committee (ITAC), providing consultation on technology adoption and process considerations for supporting the faculty and students of ASU. Mary co-leads the Universal Design and Accessible Technology working group, known for their impact in improving advocacy and action in digital accessibility at the university, and hosts a yearly conference called ASU Accessibility Awareness Day. Mary is a leader in the Arizona Canvas Consortium, hosting a yearly Canvas Connect Conference for all educators and support staff who use the Canvas LMS in Arizona.
Alongside executive leadership at EdPlus and the Instructional Design and New Media team, Mary leads the professional development and training strategies at EdPlus for thousands of ASU Online Faculty and instructional staff across the university.
