Paul Grogan is an Associate Professor with the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence at Arizona State University. He leads research on engineering design and operation of distributed and decentralized systems with specific applications to Earth-observing space missions and campaign logistics for human space exploration. His work builds on theory and tools in design science, economics, and information science to understand and improve collaborative design across organization boundaries. His group develops and uses models, simulations, and games to understand how individuals and teams interact with each other during early conceptual design activities. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems and S.M. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
