Long Bio

Known for building brands that are visually concept driven, culturally relevant, and tell stories informed by strategy and insight. benjie has juried The Big One, Alaska’s one and only annual, statewide design competition; was a keynote speaker at TEDxFaurotPark, has presented at the UCDA Design Educators Conference: Same Difference, has been featured by BGSU GD as a distinguished alumni, and was a member of ArtCenter College of Design's inaugural cohort for their Master of Design (MDes) in Brand Design and Strategy program.

Prior to ASU, benjie was the founding principal at •Singularity, a brand design agency. During his five years at •Singularity he built the brand practice from the group up and led a multidisciplinary team. While there, benjie designed solutions for global brands such as Starbucks, Samsung, and TEDx, in addition to startups such as RenewWest, and Wesper. Most recently benjie started a solo practice, rebels&riots, where he helps rebellious brands launch, scale, and revolutionize their industries.
