Genevieve Bautista Young serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for ASU Health. A healthcare executive with over two decades in the industry, she brings extensive experience in leading complex operations and strategic projects at major U.S. health systems. Genevieve is responsible for partnering with the EVP of ASU Health to lead key initiatives, as well as understanding the interdependencies between ASU Health and health-related work already underway in various ASU colleges, schools, programs, and other units, and integrating these efforts into a single, cohesive entity that fosters collaboration and leverages synergies across groups.
Prior to joining ASU, Genevieve held various healthcare leadership positions at Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. She played key roles in setting strategic direction for several clinical departments and driving financial and operational performance. She was also instrumental in leading due diligence activities and facilities activation for an international joint venture at Mayo Clinic. While at Cleveland Clinic, Genevieve was at the forefront of leading startup activities for Cleveland Clinic’s hospital construction project in the UAE.
Genevieve is an alumnus of The Ohio State University, where she earned a Dual Masters Degree in Business Administration and Health Administration. She also earned her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences while at OSU and was a varsity athlete, University Scholar, and graduate of the University Honors Program. Her commitment to continual learning is reflected in her certifications as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Certified Project Management Professional.
