Hello! My name is Robert Barros, and I am an active-duty First Sergeant in the United States Air Force, proudly serving for the past 19 years. Originally from Vallejo, California, I have dedicated my career to leadership, service, and my passion for emergency management and disaster response.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from American Military University and an Associate’s degree in Health Care Managment from the Community College of the Air Force. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management to expand my expertise and prepare for life after military service.
My long-term goal is to work with the State of Texas in emergency management, where I can apply my extensive experience in crisis leadership, disaster preparedness, and response coordination to make a meaningful impact on my community.
When I’m not studying or fulfilling my professional duties, I enjoy staying active through working out, hiking, fishing, badminton, and hunting. I’m also an avid chess player and enjoy reading to continually grow both personally and professionally.
With nearly two decades of experience in leadership and crisis management, I am excited to bring my knowledge and skills to the ASU community and beyond. Feel free to connect with me to discuss emergency management, disaster response, or shared interests—Forks up!
