Benjamin Agyei-Owusu is a supply chain management researcher and educator at Arizona State University, where he is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Global Center for Technology Transfer. He is also a Lecturer in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, where he earned his PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with a dissertation on digital transformation and supply chain value co-creation.
Dr. Agyei-Owusu's research examines how organizations build supply chain capabilities, adopt digital technologies, and pursue more sustainable and resilient operations — and, increasingly, how technology transfer shapes supply chains. He cares most about connecting that work to the classroom and to practice, having taught supply chain and information systems courses at KNUST and guest-lectured in supply chain courses at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business.
His research has appeared in journals including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, the International Journal of Information Management, the International Journal of Logistics Management, Benchmarking: An International Journal, the International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, and Management Research Review, and has been cited more than 900 times (h-index 14). He is a fellow of the Brew Hammond Energy Centre at KNUST and a member of the Decision Sciences Institute, the Association for Information Systems, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
