Frances Vazquez’s career reflects a dynamic blend of design, education, and sustainability. Beginning as a science educator and environmental researcher, she developed a foundation in data analysis and community outreach. This evolved into her role as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she led educational and cultural initiatives in Cameroon, honing her communication and project management skills.
Transitioning to user experience, Frances joined Adobe Digital Academy, where her skills in research and empathy-driven design blossomed. She then advanced as a Customer Experience Designer at Portfolio T, collaborating on sustainable, cutting-edge projects across sectors. Her approach consistently centers on creating solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Frances has gotten certified in sustainable design principals through Leyla Acagrolu's Unschool and is excited to use all of her design and environmental background in her engineering studies at ASU.
Frances is most proud of her Return Peace Corps Volunteer status, being selected to be an Adobe Digital Academy Scholar and finally, being chosen as a 2024 IESE Future Female Leader Award Recipient.
Throughout her career, Frances has also been actively engaged with groups like NSBE, Engineers without Borders, reflecting her commitment to sustainability, community impact, and innovative design.
