Long Bio
Precious Okpechi (he/him) is a Nigerian poet and editor. He is an alumnus of the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, the Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop, and the Outspoken Press Academy Writing Workshop. His works appear in Palette Poetry, A Long House, Isele Magazine, Lolwe, The Shore, among others. He is an MFA candidate in creative writing at Arizona State University where he’s received the Outstanding Potential Research Award and the Virginia Piper Cultural Exchange Fellowship. Precious serves as the managing editor of 20.35 Africa: A Contemporary Poetry Foundation where he has curated and edited four volumes of their anthology series, publishing the work of both emerging and established African poets within the continent and its diaspora.
