Jack Messitt is an award-winning cinematographer, director, and screenwriter.
His work as a director of photography includes Ion Television's holiday feature film The Christmas Witness, short flms for the MTV Movie Awards and Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis, 2nd unit on ABC’s Station 19 and Fox’s Bones, and the feature films Irreversi, Girl With No Number and The Curiosity of Chance.
A veteran camera operator, his television experience includes Scandal (ABC), Mixed-ish(ABC), Bones (FOX), and 911: Lonestar (FOX). Messitt is a former 1st Vice President of the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) and editor of "Camera Operator" magazine.
A seasoned screenwriter, his work has been seen across the globe with Hwuai Brothers' thriller Control, TF1 produced thriller Trust, and Bigfoot Entertainment's award winning horror film Midnight Movie - Jack's directorial debut.
He holds an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute (AFI), as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a Certificate in Film Studies from Indiana University. Messitt is an Assistant Professor of Cinematography and Film Production in The Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University.
