Zhanyi Jiao is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Actuarial Science in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (SoMSS) at Arizona State University. He received his PhD in Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo in 2024. His research focuses on actuarial science and quantitative risk management, including risk measures, risk sharing, and the theory of model uncertainty. He also explores applications of these concepts in insurance, finance, and emerging areas such as FinTech and InsurTech. In addition, he is expanding his expertise in statistics, particularly through work on the concept of e-values and their applications in quantitative risk management.
Zhanyi Jiao is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a James C. Hickman Scholar, underscoring his commitment to professionalism in the actuarial field. Through his research and experience, he aims to contribute valuable insights and innovative strategies to the actuarial industry.
