Dr. Taylor studies how ethical life is shaped through perception and relation. Their work examines how care, kindness and compassion take form in encounters shaped by vulnerability, pain and environmental strain. They investigate how people learn to sense the presence, needs and histories of others, and how these forms of attention influence cultural memory and social belonging. Using phenomenology, philology and grounded theory, Dr. Taylor analyzes the sensory and interpretive practices through which ethical connection is made possible or denied. Their research traces how perceptual habits shape moral experience and how communities cultivate ways of relating that protect dignity and sustain life under pressure.
