Pamela Marks is a Teaching Professor in the School of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University where her main focus has been teaching introductory chemistry, general chemistry, and chemistry for engineers since 1996. She has been involved in online learning, improving inquiry-based learning in the general chemistry program, and has recently modified her introductory chemistry course to a flipped classroom format. She is a co-author of the McGraw-Hill textbook Introductory Chemistry. She has also taught in the general chemistry program at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University in Minnesota. She received her B.A. in chemistry from St. Olaf College in 1984 and her M.A. in inorganic chemistry at the University of Arizona in 1988. She spends her free time with her family and hiking with her Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs.
