Long Bio
Melanie Pitts is currently a Senior Lecturer at ASU, where she has taught for thirteen years. Her courses include Liberal Studies Seminar classes focused on the art and culture of Renaissance Florence and the expression of self and identity. She also teaches courses on 19th century Gothic Literature and Shakespeare.
Pitts served as an ASU Faculty Senator for Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication at the Polytechnic Campus from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, she was elected president of the Polytechnic Campus Senate and Academic Assembly.
