Roy Levy is a professor appointed in the Quantitative Psychology area in the Department of Psychology, as well as in the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, specializing in quantitative methodology. His research and teaching interests include methodological investigations and applications in psychometrics and statistical modeling, focusing on item response theory, structural equation modeling, and Bayesian approaches to inference and modeling. Research Interests
Dr. Levy's work primarily concerns the use of statistical and psychometric models in assessment, education, and the social sciences more broadly. His interests include methodological investigations and applications in psychometrics and statistical modeling, with a focus on models and procedures associated with item response theory, structural equation modeling, Bayesian networks, and Bayesian approaches to inference. In connection with these areas, his current interests include dimensionality assessment, model checking, and model comparison. Dr. Levy also works in the area of assessment design, focusing on evidentiary principles and applications in complex, simulation-based assessments.
