GIS PhD Student

Flores, a human-environmental geographer, studies environmental justice, social vulnerability, and health disparities in hazards/disasters.

Shaffer focuses on how stakeholders and rights holders in complex Arctic social-ecological systems engage in collective decision-making and resource stewardship in the face of rapid changes spurred by climate change.

Anannya is a first-year graduate student pursuing a PhD in the Geological Sciences at the School of Earth and Space Exploration (SESE) of Arizona State University. Her research primarily focuses on the geomorphology and surface composition of Mars.

Dr. Rebecca Kariuki is an Assistant Professor at ASU’s School of Sustainability. Her research involves conservation, land use change, social-ecological systems, and nature-based solutions.
