Plaisier works to answer open questions about human diseases by turning large-scale patient data into integrative models that can be used to describe novel disease biology or discover drug targets.

Silvie Huijben is an evolutionary biologist who studies the evolutionary ecology of resistant organisms. Her aim is to optimize treatment strategies that minimize resistance evolution, with a focus on malaria.

Merid is the director of the Digital Health and Racial Justice Lab at SFIS.

Jack Reihing is a 4th year Biomedical Science student. He has been in the Huijben lab since the Spring of 2023. Jack has a keen interest in infectious disease, and plans to attend medical school after graduating in 2025.
