Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing. He has published widely on issues related to language, writing, identity, mentoring, and professional development.

D'Angelo's research interests include writing assessment; the impact of assessment on curriculum development, outcomes, and pedagogy; threshold concepts and transfer of learning; metacognition; and information literacy.

Simmon received a master's in English from Northern Arizona University and a master's of education in curriculum and teaching from the University of Toledo.
