Solís works at the intersection of academic research, public engagement, participatory geospatial technologies in service to sustainability, resilience, development and humanitarian challenges.

Dr. Gwiszcz's research and practice focuses on capacity building mechanisms for sustainability/sustainable development aimed at addressing socioecological justice, global environmental change, and human rights concerns.

Capistrano is based in Hainan University–Arizona State University International Tourism College in Haikou, China. He is interested in the sociology of tourism, biodiversity and tourism, and community development.

Denise joins ASU after 24 years of implementing community-engaged research projects focused on solving environmental issues in the desert southwest. She now works internationally on climate change policy.
