Colbern's areas of expertise is in American politics, race, immigration, social movements, policy, federalism and citizenship.

Prof. Strickland's areas of research include interest groups, legislatures and subnational politics in the United States.

Pérez's research examines religion, political theory, and American national security.

Anastasia is a third year PhD student. She serves the department as the Experimental Lab Coordinator. Her research interests include: women in politics, state politics, political behavior, and political methodology.

Stella Rouse is the director of the Hispanic Research Center and professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies. Her research examines how identities inform representation, political behavior, and participation.
