Salerno's research interests include several lines of inquiry that apply social psychological theory and experimentation to legal contexts. She is a founding member of the ASU program on law and behavioral science.

Guyll evaluates the performance of forensic professionals, especially firearm and toolmark examiners. He seeks to improve methods for evaluating performance and address concerns about psychological bias.

Teaches Psychology of Religion in study abroad settings, and is currently investigating implicit racial bias and its potential influence on sentencing disparity in the criminal justice system.
