Oberle's expertise areas include modern intellectual history, German and French history, political theory and social thought, the history of science and technology.

Baldini taught several advanced Italian courses, as well as a number of special topic courses semester to semester.

Reves is the lower division coordinator in the German program. Her research focus is on migration, networks and cultural transfer as well as on AI for foreign language learning.

Dr. Stephen Lazer is a specialist in early modern Europe. His research focuses on Germany and France, particularly the histories of borderlands, political culture, state formation, and crime.
