  • Scott Surgent was the coordinator of FYM, 2011-21, helping manage all first and second-year courses, and was de-facto coordinator of the online program. He currently works on the Math Spine project.

  • Czeranko is interested in exploring different methods of teaching linear algebra and differential equations.
  • Sha's research concerns ethico-aesthetic improvisation, and a topological approach to morphogenesis and process philosophy.
  • Melendez is a faculty member responsible for teaching a variety of lower-division mathematics courses at ASU including College Mathematics, College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Elements of Statistics.
  • Boney joined ASU in 2007. She has been involved in multiple projects regarding improvement of student mathematical understanding, Prior to ASU, Boney taught math in Michigan and Arizona at the high school level.
  • Small received his doctorate in chemical physics while conducting research on catalytic nanoparticles at University of Illinois. He worked at Intel in Oregon before joining ASU West and moving to Arizona in 2014.
