Feng Wang is a professor with the applied computing program in the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences at New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. Her research interests focus on network science, social media analysis, network optimization, network security, and wireless sensor networks. Her work has appeared in leading journals and conferences in computer networking including IEEE Transaction on Networking, IEEE Transaction on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transaction on Wireless Communications, Scientific Report, INFOCOM, ICDCS, and Globecom. Wang teaches undergraduate courses in computer networks, wireless networks, network security, system programming, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, and supervises numerous undergraduate research projects. She joined ASU’s New College as a tenure-track faculty in 2007.

I am interested in networking research in general, with emphasis on algorithm approximation towards combinatorial optimization problems in wireless sensor networks and online social networks, mathematical modeling in online social networks, and graph abstractions towards modeling interactions for network security and management.
