From Little Rock, Arkansas, Aimee Colmery teaches technical communication online for Arizona State University. In '82, she earned a bachelor's degree in studio art and has taught art in various settings. She earned a master's in technical writing in 1999, and has been working in higher education and teaching online ever since. Colmery has co-created university-wide cultural change in awareness about various disabilities and curricular updates to accommodate learners with disabilities. She has also developed a faculty support units for teaching with technology and learning online in higher education settings. She is a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer. Her workplace writing includes various genres in art education, insurance industry, retail business, higher education, instructional technology, and digital publishing.
