College of Global Futures
Justin graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture program at Arizona State University and is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Biomimicry, but has already had experience with award winning projects including the Buckeye Skyline Master Plan, the Colony House, and the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show (2013+2014). His background prior to landscape architecture is in construction and project management, bringing a grounded approach to his designs and helping bridge the communication between planning and design to the field, understanding and overcoming complicated obstacles. His work experience includes a wide array of project types, from city planning to campus planning/design, and multimodal planning/design to custom residential.
Justin's pedagogy is directly related to his hands-on and in-field experience, firmly emulating the concept of designing for people and place. Understanding that design is an inherently human concept that should be grounded in the forms and strategies that of the things and nature that surround them while being aware of the need to evaluate, expand, and stretch those limits to create anew.
