Narayanan Neithalath is a professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. He received his doctorate in civil engineering (specializing in concrete materials) from Purdue University in 2004. His research interests are in the areas of structural engineering and materials including novel materials, processes, and systems for buildings and infrastructure. He has published around 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and has received several awards for his work on novel concrete materials including the ASCE Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize and National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
