My PhD work explores the diverse chemical environments generated through water-rock interactions and their implications for the habitability of rock-hosted systems. This interest brought me to the Samail Ophiolite in Oman where I investigated low-temperature peridotite and gabbro-hosted hyperalkaline fluids, and to the Atlantis Bank in the Southwest Indian Ridge (IODP Exp. 360) where I examined high-temperature gabbro-fluid rock interactions. I employ methods in fluid and gas geochemistry, mineralogical analysis and thermodynamic calculations for my research.
