Nancy J Scherer is a professor of speech and hearing science at the ASU College of Health Solutions. Her research interests focus on the assessment of speech and language development of children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial conditions, early intervention for children with cleft lip and/or palate, and service delivery models for early speech and language intervention. Her most recent project examines the efficacy of early speech intervention for children with cleft palate in Brazil, with co-investigator Inge Trindade of the University of Sao Paulo. She was named a fellow of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2014.
