Long Bio
John Shaffer is a recent graduate from the College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University, where he received his master's degree in criminal justice. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science at the United States Naval Academy in 2010. Currently living in Southern California, he works as a warfare systems analyst for the Department of the Navy. Furthermore, Shaffer currently serves as a naval officer in the United States Navy Reserve.

Research Interests
John’s research interests focus on public policies relating to criminal justice as well as other areas of national security. He is a regular contributor to publications produced by the Naval Historical Foundation and the Richard Nixon Foundation.
