Jessie Helmes joined the Action Nexus team in 2022 as an evaluator and researcher focused on community programs across Arizona. She specializes in cross-sector collaboration, program evaluation, and team development to drive impactful, student-centered outcomes. Jessie is passionate about using community-embedded. lived expertise informed data and evaluation to inform decisions that expand equity, access, and opportunity.
Previously, she spent nine years working with students in College of Health Solutions where she managed a team of internship coordinators and supported students as they connected classroom learning to real-world application. She brings with her, experience collaborating with community partners to build successful programs for students and a passion for working with underserved populations. She is also a volunteer mentor for first-generation student scholars at St. Vincent de Paul.
