Marcela Aliste is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Program Director for the MAS Health Informatics program. She holds a master's in Biomedical Informatics and a PhD in Theoretical Organic Chemistry. Dr. Aliste has been involved in numerous research publications, mainly focusing on the computational modeling of membranes and membrane proteins. Currently, her research focus is on health informatics topics.
Marcela has worked as an educator at ASU since 2014. In 2019, she joined CHS as an academic program lead (2019-2021) and lecturer. She teaches various courses related to health informatics. Marcela is also an adjunct faculty member at Phoenix College, teaching organic chemistry.
