Long Bio

Doug Sawyer began teaching chemistry in 1988 at Arizona State University. He moved to Scottsdale Community College in 1992. Sawyer retired from SCC in 2013. He worked as a chemist in the corporate world until his second retirement in 2015. He resumed his teaching career in the Fall of 2015 at the ASU Downtown campus, where he currently teaches Introductory Chemistry and General Chemistry courses.
