Amy Wortley is a literature and composition instructor whose work includes a specialization in Victorian era detective fiction as well as the incorporation of humor and student engagement strategies in the traditional classroom setting. She primarily works for ASU in an online teaching capacity, serving the academic needs of students in the English 101 courses. Her current research focuses on ideas of transfer in thematically linked composition courses and building community in the online learning environment.
