Long Bio
Andrew Ballon is a communications and media professional with a background in film, digital media, and strategic marketing. As the Senior Communications Strategist at the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center, part of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, he leads content strategy and social media management in support of the center’s work as a hub for media, design, and immersive technology. His role centers on storytelling and digital campaigns, along with building relationships with students, faculty, and industry partners.
Before joining ASU in April 2022, Andrew served as a Project Coordinator at Arizona Film and Digital Media within the Arizona Commerce Authority, where he supported efforts to promote Arizona’s film and media industries. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School in Spring 2021 with a degree in Film and Media Production (Producing track), and in Spring 2025, he earned his Master of Advanced Study in Film and Media Studies with Distinction from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, deepening his expertise in media theory, audience engagement, and cultural analysis.
Andrew brings experience in project coordination and media strategy to his work supporting ASU’s mission in media and design education, with a focus on digital engagement across the institute’s communications.
