Long Bio
Andrew Ballon is a communications and media professional with a strong background in film, digital media, and strategic marketing. As the Communications Program Coordinator at the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center, part of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, he oversees content strategy, social media management, and marketing initiatives to enhance the center’s visibility as a leading hub for innovation in media, design, and immersive technology. His work involves developing dynamic storytelling approaches, managing digital campaigns, and fostering community engagement with students, faculty, and industry partners.
Before joining ASU in April 2022, Andrew served as a Project Coordinator at Arizona Film and Digital Media within the Arizona Commerce Authority, where he supported efforts to promote Arizona’s film and media industries. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School in Spring 2021 with a degree in Film and Media Production (Producing track).
With expertise in project coordination, media strategy, and digital engagement, Andrew plays a key role in advancing ASU’s mission to foster excellence in media and design education.
