Triston is a current PhD candidate in philosophy at Arizona State University. His dissertation committee is composed of Douglas Portmore, Cheshire Calhoun, and Ben Phillips. His work is focused on moral psychology, normative ethics, social philosophy, the philosophy of emotion, and feminist philosophy. His dissertation project is focused on emotional fittingness, and the moral/normative evaluation of emotion.
Triston also conducts empirical psychological research as a member of Lani Shiota's "Shiota Psychophysiology Laboratory for Affective Testing" (SPLAT) lab where he investigates evaluations of emotions and determinates of what emotions people want to feel.
