Denise Link is a women’s health nurse practitioner and clinical professor emerita of nursing with the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation She is currently retired and remains active in nursing through volunteer activities, leadership positions in national and state nursing organizations, and select presentations within the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Professor Link has been a practicing women’s health nurse practitioner since 1979. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Professor Link is co-chair of the Practice Committee for the Arizona Action Coalition, leading efforts to put the IOM Future of Nursing recommendations into practice in Arizona. She has served as an inaugural member of the Duke University/Johnson & Johnson Nurse Leadership Program Advisory Board. She is a department editor for The Journal for Nurse Practitioners and a reviewer for other journals. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and nursing texts, presented at state, regional, national and international conferences about nurse-led health care, the nurse practitioner role, interdisciplinary education, health policy, and women’s health topics.
