Maddie is an instructional designer at ASU’s Learning Enterprise on the Learning Innovations team. At Learning Enterprise, she designs career and professional learning experiences for a range of disciplines, including health and conservation. She has also worked on Universal Pathways courses, supporting instructors and students in on-demand and session-based learning experiences.
Previously, she worked as an instructional designer for the Office of Digital Learning at Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, starting as an instructional designer associate in 2021. There, she focused on developing courses, micro-credentials and interactives for the community and professional educator initiatives at MLFC, while also serving as the lead ID on multiple academic programs. She also served as the Accessibility Coordinator for the Office of Digital Learning and a Principled Innovation College Catalyst for MLFC. Additionally, she teaches a digital literacy and data class for undergraduate students.
Maddie holds a BA in English from North Park University in Chicago, where she mentored ESL students and coordinated writing workshops for faculty. She earned her MA in Writing from Northern Michigan University, where she taught composition writing and critical inquiry to first- and second-year undergraduate students. She graduated in the Fall of 2024 with a Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology.
When she isn’t doing something learning-related, she enjoys writing, biking and hiking, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and starting projects she'll rarely ever finish.
