Joy Griffin is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Technology Entrepreneurship Management Program and the Faculty Director of Venture Development for the Fulton Schools of Engineering. She teaches entrepreneurship, leadership, consulting, and management courses. Before joining ASU in 2022, Joy taught for a decade at California State University, Northridge, in the Nazarian School of Business and served as Director of the Business Honors Program.
Joy has been a successful entrepreneur and corporate intrapreneur for the past 20 years. She co-founded, built, and sold a $100 million company in the printer technology space and has been featured on CNBC and Fox Business News. She has worked in all facets of the entrepreneurial process, starting companies with technical teams, implementing organic hyper-growth strategies, raising capital, and exit strategies.
Joy started a management consulting firm after getting her MBA from California State University, Dominguez Hills and her clients included Fortune 100 companies, wall street analysts, and large technology corporations.
She has led eight student teams to prestigious national business plan championships. She has been a keynote speaker at conferences on entrepreneurship, innovation, and change leadership.
