Allison Mullady

Dr. Allison Mullady is the Director of Arizona State University's Design Studio for Community Solutions, developing community driven initiatives, including work on the One Square Mile Initiative in Maryvale and Opportunities for Youth.  Under her leadership, the Maryvale One Square Mile Initative was awarded the President's Medal for Social Embeddeness. Through this initiative she has worked in the Maryvale community and across ASU to develop the Maryvale Youth Network, Youth Leadership Program, a community based Teaching English as a Foreign Language program, local arts and recreation programming, and a Community Design grants program which has awarded funding to Watts College teams working on community driven initiatives. Prior to her time at Watts College, Allison was a faculty member of the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College in Early Childhood Special Education for 16 years, teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate level courses, developing the ECSE program, piloting the college's signature teacher residency program, iTeachAZ, and developing and directing a university-based inclusive preschool program.  Allison's 30 years in education also include serving as an Early Head Start Director, PK-3 teacher and extensive curriculum development for local and national organizations.
