Ellie Saadat is an MSW Practicum Coordinator at Arizona State University School of Social Work. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University majoring in Social Work and minoring in Psychology. Ellie completed her undergraduate internship at Project CHAMPS of Lubbock, TX working with HIV-positive individuals. While completing her bachelor’s, Ellie volunteered with a senior living facility and a community clinic in Lubbock, but after completing her internship, Ellie knew her passion lied with the LGBTQ+ community. Shortly after finishing her bachelor’s, Ellie started her MSW at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. While completing the graduate program, Ellie conducted research locally and in Hong Kong measuring the impacts of empathy by performing various simulations. Ellie completed her graduate practicum at a local agency serving the HIV-positive population in Amarillo, TX, where she was hired full-time and served the community as a Medical Care Manager and Education Coordinator for over six years.
