Ellie Saadat is an Operations Manager of the College of Health Solutions VR Simulation Lab. She was previously a Practicum Coordinator with the School of Social Work. Ellie received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Tech University. During her undergraduate years, Ellie worked with HIV-positive individuals, volunteered at a senior living facility, and a community clinic in Lubbock. Driven by her passion for the LGBTQ+ community, Ellie pursued her master’s in Social Work at West Texas A&M University.
During her graduate studies, she conducted research locally and internationally, specifically in Hong Kong, measuring the impacts of empathy through various simulations. Ellie's dedication to serving marginalized communities continued during her graduate practicum at a local agency in Amarillo, TX, where she worked with the HIV-positive population for over six years. Her efforts focused on raising awareness about infectious diseases through education, outreach, and collaboration with Public Health departments and medical facilities.
As a member of the ASU Staff Council, Ellie is actively involved in staff advocacy and professional development initiatives.
