Nikki Fordey (she/they) is a dually licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor (LCSW/LISAC) with lived experience as a disabled chronic pain patient. She utilizes her personal and professional experiences to advocate for needed legislative changes that champion the worth and dignity of all people. They are also a law student planning on promoting and defending the civil rights of disabled people, including those with mental health and/or substance use disorders and chronic pain. They are the owner and sole practitioner in a small private practice and contract with an Employee Assistance Program providing both short and long-term counseling for mental health concerns, including a range of addiction conditions (substance-related and process/behavioral).
