Taylor John Coleman was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his High School Diploma from Chalmette High School in Chalmette Louisiana, later moving to Jacksonville Florida where he received his A.A. degree with a career path in film studies from Santa Fe College. He earned his B.A. in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in film and production (and a minor in leadership from the Taylor Leadership Institute) at the University of North Florida. He grew up working on various television, music video, and film sets as a stand-in or extra, most notably, seasons four and five of CBS Televisions NCIS: New Orleans and Netflix's The Perfect Date. Taylor is an award winning filmmaker, winning a DMOFF award in October of 2023 for his short documentary film Not Just Porn, a profile on adult film director and Jacksonville native Wakefield Poole. He also won a BLUEZ DOLPHINS Monthly Online International Short Film Festival award for his experimental short The Coldest Warmth in September of 2024.
Taylor is currently working on his first feature film 28ft Under, the first feature film releasing under his production company Crystal Ignition LLC.
