Grace Klinges is an Assistant Research Scientist for the ʻĀkoʻaʻkoʻa Reef Restoration Program based in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i. Alongside Dr. Greg Asner, Grace leads strategy development and implementation of coral restoration efforts in West Hawai'i, a region spanning over 120 miles of coral reef ecosystem. Her research centers on methods to enhance coral tolerance to local and global stressors, including selective breeding and stress conditioning. Before joining ASU, Grace was a postdoctoral researcher at Mote Marine Laboratory's International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration in the Florida Keys, where she conducted research on coral genetic diversity and disease tolerance.
