Long Bio
My academic journey began with a Bachelor's in Anthropology, which provided the foundation for my deep appreciation of human cultures and community dynamics. This background broadened my perspective and fueled my passion for understanding diverse places and the people who call them home. This interest led me to later pursue a Master's in Tourism Management, where I studied how to effectively manage and promote destinations. Complementing this, I am currently working on a Master's in Public Administration to deepen my understanding of policy and community development.
Throughout my professional life, I have been driven by a desire to contribute. My 8+ years of Active Duty military service in the Air Force has instilled in me a strong sense of duty and leadership, and helped me discover a passion for resilience training and connection with others, which I continue to apply through my volunteer work as a Master Resilience Trainer and I've volunteered with both on base and local community pride organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
My personal life also reflects a diverse journey—I've lived in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, North Dakota, and now Utah and I've worked overseas to include all across the middle east and I've been to 42 states. Each new place deepening my understanding of different ways of life. My commitment to both personal and professional development has allowed me leverage my unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience to create positive change. I am eager to combine my academic training and real-world experience to make a lasting impact.
Off duty, my wife, two dogs, and cat are a source of constant inspiration and support. I love nature and my hobbies include spending time outdoors whether hiking, snowboarding, or running. I also love watching women's sports (especially the WNBA), and doing excape rooms!
