Additional research interests include:
- representations of the body and embodiment in Hispanic literature and culture
- women’s writing and feminine subjectivity in Early Modern Spain
- visual culture and textile symbolism in literary studies
- spirituality, interiority, and materiality in Spanish mysticism
- intersections of literature and medicine in Hispanic cultural studies
- culturally responsive approaches to language and medical humanities education
- pedagogical innovation in online Spanish and Medical Spanish instruction
